He was a brilliant scientist and aeronautical engineer who was intimately involved in India’s missile development. From 2002 until 2007, he served as the country’s 11th President, providing invaluable service to the country. A.P.J. Avul Pakir Jainulabadeen Abdul Kalam’s full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabadeen Abdul Kalam.
APJ Kalam’s biography
Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, and died on July 27, 2015, in Shillong, Meghalaya. He joined the Defence Research and Development Organization after graduating from Madras Institute of Technology.
Abdul Kalam worked with the help of Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai, a renowned space scientist (Father of Space Programs of India). Kalam then became the Project Director of India’s first indigenous satellite missile, the SLV-III, in 1969.

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was an outstanding Indian scientist who served as India’s 11th President from 2002 to 2007. He was India’s most revered figure because of his significant contributions to the nation as a scientist and president.
His contributions to ‘ISRO’ will be remembered for a long time. They were in charge of a number of initiatives, including the launch of Rohini-1, project devils and project volunteers, missile development (fire and earth), and so on.
For his devoted effort, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. Dr. Kalam continued to serve India as a guest lecturer at different colleges and institutions after his term as President ended.

Dr. Kalam was born in Jainulabadeen and Ashiyamma’s home on October 15, 1931. His family’s Mali situation was precarious, so he began working at a young age to help support them financially.
He never abandoned his studies, though, even while he was working. In 1954, he received his bachelor’s degree from Tiruchirapalli’s St. Joseph’s College and his master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Madras Institute. Kalam went to work for the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as a Chief Scientist after graduation.
However, he was quickly replaced as Project Director of India’s first indigenous Satellite missile at the Indian Space Research Organization. Dr. Kalam was also the Chief Executive of the Guided Missile Development Program, which encompassed the development of missile vibrations at the same time.
From 1992 until 1999, Dr. Kalam served as the Prime Minister’s Chief Scientific Advisor and the Secretary of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). He was dubbed “Missile Man of India” for his effective participation as a major project organizer for the Pokhran II nuclear test.
Inspiration And Motivation
He authored a number of motivational publications, including “India 2020,” “Ignited Minds,” “Mission India,” “The Luminous Spark,” and “Inspiring Thought,” among others. Dr. Kalam launched the “What Can I Give Movement,” a youth-led initiative to combat corruption in the nation.
